Cemeteries, with their tombstones/headstones and markers, allow us to commemorate, to remember and to respect our dead. For some it can be a place to reminisce about loved ones. While for others, it can be a place to discover a bit of their past and their ancestors.

To contemplate who our ancestors were?

When and how long did they live?

How must their lives have been “back then”?

Note from Don: There are MANY more Zimola’s who are living and buried in Saunders County. However, I have not yet been able to connect them to our family tree.
